Aesthetically speaking this C63 AMG Black Series is a car that exhibits styling from both ends of the spectrum. On one hand, it may be considered very aggressive due to the hints of carbon and giant mesh grille. On the other hand, the body lines and contours are subtle and sleek.
This car was brought to Heasman Steering for a full track ready setup. It was lowered slightly, the dampers have been adjusted to provide a much more responsive feel, it has been corner weighted and finally it has had a wheel alignment on TRON (the aligner). Although difficult to improve on an already great platform, Heasman Steering have achieved just that and these changes are ideal for a track ready car like this one.
At a glance, this C63 definitely looks the part with the canards, carbon wing, carbon mirrors and carbon diffuser. As for colour, a satin black is the ideal way to compliment both aggressive and sleek styling. There are also a number of slightly quieter touches, one being the four chrome exhaust tips tucked under the diffuser. Although they aren’t the first thing you will notice visually, they will most definitely prick up your ears when the 6.3 litre V8 barks to life.
The Black Series treatment is available on the coupe only, and includes a few goodies that make the AMG into an AMG Black Series. Things like weight reduction, fixed bucket seats, some exterior alterations and overall better performance are only a few of the things that make a Black Series model, and you better believe this car will perform as good as it looks.
Inside the car the attention to detail doesn’t falter, carbon inserts are a nice touch in a sea of black and beautiful red seat belts and stitching give a little bit of colour without being too much. The seats help you stay put which is important when a car handles like this one after getting the Heasman treatment.
There is always plenty to say about a car like this, but a picture is worth a thousand words. The photos really do speak for themselves when it comes to this car, and after rolling out of Heasman Steering it’s got the handling to match the aesthetics.
