Where am I on this web page? - FAQ'S

Q: Why would the steering wheel wobble at a certian speed?

A: This is caused by unbalanced road tyres. We offere a "off car" balance, which will balance your rims and tryes and a "On car balance", which is done while your wheels are kept on the car and balances your rims tyres and brake disc as one.

Q: Does a front wheel drive car need back wheel alignment?

A: Some cars have adjustable alignment angles in the rear, and do indeed call for a four-wheel alignment. On some cars, there are no rear adjustments, but the front wheels should be aligned with respect to the rear.

Q: What causes a car to make a noise during hard left or right turns?

A:If it is a clunking/knocking sound it could be a bad CV joint. If it is a whining sound the power steering fluid may need to be flushed, or possibly the power steering pump may even need to be replaced.

Q:Why does your car's steering wheel turn to the right when you are driving?

A:If you mean Pulls to the right or left this may be your front end out of alignment, or incorrect tire size/wheel on the right front. Check the air pressure in all tires and adjust to specs as outlined on the drivers door post or owners manual. Check to make sure all tires are the same size. If this does not cure the problem, have the car's alignment checked.

Q:Why am you experiencing a bouncy ride at speeds usually under 35 - 40 kph?

A: Your Shocks or struts may need replacing.

Q:Why and how often should a car have an all wheel alignment done?

A:If you are noticing any uneven wear on outer edges or center of tread even though you have been diligent in keeping air pressures correct and have not hit a curb with any force or found a mega pothole. Also good idea before purchasing any new set of tires.

Q:What is corner weighting?

A:Corner weighting, sometimes referred to as "corner balancing," "weight jacking," or "scaling," involves adjusting the spring perches of a car to get a balanced diagonal weight on the tires. If your car's corner weights are not equal then its handling will be unbalanced--it will turn better in one direction than in the other (all other things being equal).
